The short version
This website has no forms, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and its own code sets no cookies. We collect personal information only when you choose to email us or book a call.
What we collect, and how
- When you visit. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information for every visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site. We don't use it to identify you.
- When you email us. We receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to write. Our email runs on Google Workspace.
- When you book a call. The booking page collects your name, email address, the time you pick and anything you add in the notes. It runs on Google Calendar.
- When you download the checklist. Nothing. The download needs no sign-up.
How we use it
To reply to you, run calls you book, provide services you engage us for, and keep business records. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it except with the service providers named on this page, or when the law requires it.
Business outreach
We may contact accounting and bookkeeping firms using the business contact details they publicly provide. Every message we send includes instructions for opting out, and we stop contacting anyone who asks.

How long we keep it
As long as needed for our business relationship and our legal obligations.
Client firms' data
When a firm engages Sparehand, the work runs inside the firm's own Google or Microsoft accounts, within the firm's written information security plan. Sparehand keeps no copies of client tax documents, and access ends when the work does. The details are set out in each engagement agreement. [Legal review]
Your choices

Do Not Track. Because this site doesn't track visitors across other websites, it doesn't change its behavior in response to Do Not Track signals.
Children. This site is for businesses and isn't directed to children under 13.
